Bio: She's an officer that seems serious and pays close attention to details. She transferred from another division and did seem rather distant at first, unsure if she could trust anyone because of what happened at her former taskforce.

She had been in a hostage situation when she was a child and when training to be a cop, she was taken out of training before she was even half way through it and placed right into the face of real life battles. 150+ officers including her father died when a plane crashed into a building. She was a witness to the accident. When a mafia terrorist group (the crimson syndicate) took her hostage after getting one of their own undercover, her partner died while protecting her.

It took her a while to open up but out of all the people that anyone would expect to help her, Ide was the one that got her to open up when they were put into a situation where they had to work together.

When Ukita later joined, the two became friends though he flirted with her a bit. Later on, the taskforce learned that she had lost her brother one winter and came over to cheer her up. Since then, she became good friends with Aizawa, Ide, Mogi and Ukita but at the time, her and Matsuda seemed to get along.

During the Kira case, her attention to detail might of got on L's nerves but during the case, she did not trust Light and Mr.Yagami did not tolerate it one bit and nearly physically hit her.

At one point, she had to leave the case when she believed that Ukita had died at the Sakura Tv station. Of course she temporarily left the investigation because she did not want to see Light if he was Kira since she believed he was Kira without a doubt. She had worked on her own for a bit but ran into Ide and learned he was involved in trying to solve the case. Then when Aizawa left the case, the three of them worked together and Aizawa went back. Then Blaze and Ide rejoined the case after L's death.

In her past, her father, brother and partner got killed and at the deputy chief director was replaced 5 times. Her half brother took the new role but he later died along with Ideas after the Crimson Syndicate case was closed. She didn't want to go back on the case but it seriously hurt her either way. She got nightmares and flashbacks and it bothered her to the point where she took off without warning. She felt she betrayed the others trust and she was the one that made the case publc.

She appeared in court sometime later but because of her actions and the help of her former taskforce, she was cleared of all charges but when asked if she would rejoin, she declined.


Relationship with other officers

Matsuda:For some reason, he does not seem to get along with her after the Kira case but then again, he had been saying cruel jokes towards her. He may be approachable to likeable to some people, he is sometimes nice to her but not always.

Ukita: They are close as friends and she trusts him with her life. To her, he was a type of person that could cheer her up when she felt down. When she lost him, she was upset about it but she found out after the Kira case that he had survived because L had him pretend to go and switch places with someone. He has changed a bit and when she came back from the case that shattered her life, he defended her. He's like a brother to her.

Aizawa: She has a great deal of respect for him. She finds him to be interesting and tends to look up to him as a father figure at times since he has kids. He does seem to take it easy on her as if he understands her feelings just a bit. He was the first to figure out that both Blaze and Ide had some feelings for each other.

Mogi: She finds him to be interesting because he can stay quiet. She wasn't sure if he had any personality but he seems to be friendly towards her though there has been some moments where he seems to stutter.

Hideki Ide: She's very close to him even though she was not sure if he was mostly sarcastic or didn't like her. Since she did not trust anyone at first, she was not sure if she could trust him when they got partnered up for a case once. Since then, the two get along even though he does scold her and remind her of duty. He doesn't take it hard on her all the time and he's rather protective of her. He will stand up for her sometimes. She fell in love with him during the Kira case. She was uncertain at first why he wouldn't work with L but soon understood. He was very different to her and he didn't try to be perfect. She cares about him very much and would protect him from being hurt even if it meant she got hurt in the process. They do become a couple somewhere along the way.
